We focus on the cumulative effect of the totality of components in the plant. But since molecular composition varies between varieties, climate, and season as well as extraction methods, we developed a unique method to analyze, classify and adjust the best extracts to be included in our final products designed to target and treat a specific medical indication, after proving their biological activity and overall efficacy.
Our Process
Screening – Scoring – Prediction – Formulation – Validation
Our screening process is conducted following each extraction batch and prior to formulation in products. So far, we have screened Hundreds of diverse full-spectrum cannabis chemovars from select sources around the world. We also develop an ever-expanding array of biological high-throughput assays for various medical indications including inflammation, itch, pain, anti-microbial, neuronal protection, and muscle recovery.
We are constantly researching further screening methods and additional pre-clinical models to expand our knowledge and capabilities.
The Seekwell database covers hundreds of full spectrum cannabis chemo-variants and oil extracts, classified according to their efficacy for each tested indication. Each tested extract batch in our database receives a unique score that represents its potential suitability for the selected medical indication.
We created an “efficacy bar” for each indication, defining the desired level of biological activity presented in the screening results of each tested extract. This way we can repeatedly select extracts with the same biological efficacy to be incorporated in every batch achieving consistent products.
Seekwell has developed a smart system using big data (patent pending) that enables a MCDM (Multi Criteria Decision Making) able to analyze information received from our extensive screening phase, consolidate results, and indicate which extract or extract compositions are appropriate for each product after matching the established threshold of effectiveness.
In order to assure a quality process, extracts are selected based on a several in-vitro bioassays that defer in their mechanism and target.
Like many other lipophilic compounds, the oral bioavailability of CBD is known to have limited absorption caused by very low water solubility and extensive first-pass metabolism, which makes oral administration challenging. Likewise, due to the nature of cannabis molecules, their skin penetration is challenging. Therefore, there is a pressing need to develop formulations that overcome these obstacles.
Seekwell have the expertise and in house capabilities to create smart, innovative, and state of the art formulations, both for oral and topical administration. Seekwell also believe in combining other natural or natural derived ingredients in its formulations, to increase efficacy and bring to market the best products that deliver natural relief to consumers.
As an R&D company rooted in science, we perform a wide variety of in vitro and in vivo tests of our extracts and compositions as well as clinical studies and patients’ evaluation of final formulations. This is done to validate our initial screening results but also to confirm our formulations’ efficacy and consistency in clinical parameters related to our products.
Seekwell established multiple collaborations with laboratories and academic institutes in conducting our studies, adhering to strict regulation from various authorities both local and international. So far, we have gained experience conducting preclinical studies and clinical observation studies of several products and formulations, not to mention the identification and characterization of hundreds of hemp and cannabis oil extracts in our database. These day Seekwell is about to start our first double blind placebo controlled clinical study in the field of Dentistry indications.
